Running Injury

Don't we all have them?

If you have an experience, you can write down what worked for you, and we can discuss it. Only community experiences.

Tendinitis

Even if you cannot beat it, you can keep it under control

Don't stop running completely. Just go steady, don't race and seek flat, soft surfaces.

Moreover there is a number of things that seem to work for some. Others things it worse. However, cure is elusive, I am the living proof of it.

Works:

  • stretching as a way of life
  • strengthening feet
  • ultrason and shokwave
  • Ice
  • keep moving gently during the day
  • Yoga
  • fitting orthotics, over the counter are for many people as good as tailor made

Does not work:

  • immobility, total rest
  • casual stratching

Makes it worse:

  • going to the movies
  • flying in economy class
  • race without stretch nor ice on hoard surface without warming up.
